Plastic
Suppliers is among the world’s leading manufacturers of biaxially

manufactured in Columbus , Ohio since the 1970s and our Sidaplax

extrusion lines are continually being updated and expanded to meet
growing demand. Plastic Suppliers’ quality films are marketed under the
trademarked and registered names of EarthFirst®, Polyflex®, Freezflex®,
Matteflex®, and Labelflex®. These products are recognized as the
leading films produced for their intended applications. Plastic
Suppliers is especially proud of their newest product called

label face stock, shrink film, floral wrap, envelope window film,
flexible packaging, and release liners. Through our expansion efforts,
we have the added capacity to manufacture polystyrene-based Polyflex
TMOPS (TD) and LMOPS (MD) as well as PLA-based EarthFirst TDO (TD) and
EarthFirst MDO (MD) label films.
In
2003, Plastic Suppliers’ Polyflex T plant located in Columbus , OH
merited ISO 9001:2000 quality certification of its production of cast
and tentered biaxially oriented polystyrene film and sheet. The
following year our Polyflex B plant, also located in Columbus, OH,
became the second Plastic Suppliers location to become ISO 9001:2000
certified. ISO certification is important to Plastic Suppliers as we
continue to sell our products in a global marketplace where this
achievement is recognized worldwide as the accepted minimum standard of
quality. Our most recent achievement is becoming a Merit Site in the
Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). The U.S. Department of Labor
recognized Plastic Suppliers for sustaining excellence in all areas of
our safety and health management system.
In addition to these two honorable achievements, Plastic Suppliers has
also been awarded the SHARP (Safety and Health Achievement Recognition
Program) award for the third time as a result of its dedication and
documentation of our entire safety and health programs. The Ohio OSHA
SHARP program is a recognition program which provides incentives for
Ohio employers to work with their employees to develop and implement
effective injury and illness prevention programs.
On
April 11th, 2005 Plastic Suppliers Polyflex T Division had
representatives from OSHA here to present the award of a Merit Site in
the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). The VPP is a recognition
program awarded to companies who meet the requirements of the following
four elements: Management Leadership & Employee Involvement,
Worksite Analysis, Hazard Prevention & Control, and Safety &
Health Training. The VPP is a federal program that sets
performance-based criteria, invites sites to apply and then assesses
applicants according to these criteria. Polyflex T’s designation as a
Merit Site in the VPP is OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding
efforts of employers and employees who have achieved an exemplary
occupational safety and health management system. Plastic Suppliers is
the second SHARP site nationwide to receive this recognition.
